Cate Girls Varsity played against St Bonaventure on Friday, September 27th.

Cate got off to a great start in the first game, gaining a comfortable lead early and finishing ahead 25-20. St Bonaventure broke ahead early in the second game and got up by as many as 8 points before Cate came back to tie things up late in the game. St Bonaventure closed out the game 26-24. In the third game St Bonaventure got ahead early and maintained the lead throughout, finishing on top with a 25-9 win. St. Bonaventure stayed in the driver’s seat for game 4 and closed out the match 25-15.

“We played well as a team in the first game but couldn’t keep it together in the later games. St. Bonaventure was aggressive at the service line and dominated the net with their strong middle attacking. We had a lot of unforced errors and got off track which was frustrating. We will come in to practice Monday ready to get better as a team and prepare for a tough Bishop team.” said coach Jordon Dyer.

Scores:
Game 1 25-20
Game 2 24-26
Game 3 9-25
