Cate Girls Varsity played against Bishop High School on Friday, September 13th.
The Rams got off to a slow start in the first game, with Bishop taking command early from the service line and at the net. Bishop broke away early and won decisively 25-11. The Rams broke away in the second set and got an eight-point lead thanks to Fallon Erickson’s ’26 serving run. Although Bishop managed to scratch back late and steal the set 25-22 thanks to a few good serving runs. The third set had Bishop break away early and stay ahead, finishing the match with a 25-8 victory.
“Hat’s off to Bishop, they played well and took care of business. We showed some growing pains, still have a few things to sort out on our side of the net. The silver lining was we had several great moments tonight and bounced back well in the second set. Lot’s to improve on and will focus on getting a little better come Monday.” said coach Jordon Dyer.
