Girls Varsity Highlights Strong Showing in Lompoc

In the first race of the day, the Frosh/Soph boys placed second in the county behind San Marcos High School. Sophomore Ati Zwieback, in his first race of the season due to injury, placed second overall, and finishing in fourth place was Bruce Li ’28. Miles Williams ’26 (11th), Ethan Qui ’28 (13th), and Jackson Muller ’27 (30th) made up the top five finishers for the Rams.

The Girls JV finished 3rd. The team was led by Aggie McTigue ’28, followed by Valentine Selmoni ’27, Michelle Wu ’27, Mimi Power ’28, and Sophomore Analise Gomez ’27.

In the Girls Varsity race, Francesca Sutch ’25 finished second a new personal best of 18:37! That helped lead the team to a third-place overall finish. Sophie Blank ’27 finished 16th in 19:58, Jen Won ’26 was 20th in 20:43, Stella Rogers ’25 placed 21st in 20:50, and Kate McCoy ’25 finished 23rd in 21:07.

In the Varsity boys race, Jordan Ryan ’26 ran a new personal best of 16:20 good for 14th place against the strong teams from Dos Pueblos and San Marcos. Juniors trio of Samuel Young ’26, Ian Sheshunoff ’26, Lawrence Zhang ’26 finshed just behind followed by,  Eli Meisel ’25 to round out the top five.

The next race for the team will be next Thursday, November 7th at the Tri-Valley League Championship in Ventura.
