Coach Wyatt’s Recap:

We suffered a resounding loss in Ojai against the Thacher Toads, which hurt mostly due to our inability to string passes together. We found it difficult to play our own game and were repeatedly outpaced by Thacher players stepping first to the ball. This is something that we can work on. What is harder to teach, but what this team consistently brings, is their work ethic, resilience, and tenacity. So even though the game did not look anything like what we’d hoped, there were some wonderful moments. Fiona Pan ’27 returned to the field for the first time after her injury, playing just 10 minutes a half, yet she still managed to generate a beautiful assist. Nika was everywhere, contributing an assist and a goal. Precious added another excellent finish!. Zyla Dhillon ’25 and Harper Bishop ’28 delivered standout performances, each for different reasons, but both showed remarkable commitment by putting their bodies on the line for the team. Our defense deserves extra recognition today, so look out for Analise, Zoë, Zyla, Lauren, and Claire Chan ’28! And even though we didn’t get our five pass streak until the final moments in the game, we couldn’t have managed it without Claire Bianchi ’26 and her 24 completed passes through the midfield. So we live to fight another day and hope to turn things around in the short term with a home game against St. Bonaventure on Monday. We’ll see Thacher again at home in the new year (21-Jan).
