The Cate football team remained unbeaten thanks to a 36-0 win over the Santa Clara Saints.
The Rams did all their scoring in the first half. Quinn Pullen ’25 found Ethan Rehnborg ’25 on a 45-yard strike early in the first quarter. Joba Samson ’25 followed up that score with a rushing TD from about 2 yards out. Jacob Gabbay ’25 got in on the scoring action with a 15 yard scoop-and-score after recovering a fumble. At the end of the first quarter, the Rams were up 21-0. Cate tacked on two more scores in the 2nd quarter. First, Rehnborg ’25 carried one in from 10 yards out. The next series, Pullen ’25 found Gabbay ’25 on a deep 33 yard touchdown.
The second half saw a stalemate between the two sides, with all of Cate’s players who suited up getting in on the action.
This was a nice team win. It’s always fun when everyone gets in the ball game. We have a few things to clean up as we get ready for the end of the season but this was a fun game to be a part of.
