Trey Jackson '15

A fifth-generation Californian, Trey Jackson was born and raised in Santa Barbara, where he attended Crane School and Cate School. At Cate, Trey developed a passion for learning, writing, art, the outdoors, and fitness. He played on the varsity water polo, varsity tennis, and surf teams. His fondest memories of Cate are serving as a teaching assistant for the sophomore class and winning the creative writing contest his senior year. After Cate, Trey graduated from Middlebury College magna cum laude, where he studied international politics and economics and participated in Middlebury’s abroad program in Bordeaux, France.

Trey then began a career in marketing and technology at Wunderkind, a New York-based software company helping companies like Gucci and Macy’s better connect with their online customers. Outside of work, Trey is a professional yoga instructor at CorePower Yoga and an LGBTQ+ activist. Through his work with wayOUT, a national organization dedicated to helping LGBTQ+ youth thrive, he has helped raise nearly a quarter of a million dollars for youth centers in Alabama and Florida.

This fall, Trey will return to California to attend business school. He credits much of his success to Cate, as the school instilled confidence and the ability to build relationships, communicate effectively, and solve problems. Trey is honored to join the Alumni Leadership Council at a school that sets a strong academic foundation and future for students.
