Yutopia Essex brings years of HR experience and a passion for fostering community to Cate. A Group Benefits Associate (GBA) certified by the Wharton School of Business, Yutopia has been a dedicated human resources professional since 2010. She serves as Co-Chair of the CARE Committee, Faculty Advisor for BSU and WoCaC, and dorm parent in ’25 House. She is currently working toward her SHRM-SCP designation and pursuing an MA in Private School Leadership at Teachers College, Columbia University.

A poet and performance artist, Yutopia is also a devoted mother to Harper Leigh and Billie Gene, and a lover of dogs. She is committed to creating a culture of belonging at Cate, inspiring those around her with her creativity and leadership.
