Nadine Maxwell, affectionately known as “Ms. Max” by her students, is originally from Jamaica. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Spanish and Social Sciences from the University of the West Indies and a master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Howard University.
Nadine began her career as a psychotherapist in mental health clinics before transitioning to education. She has since served as a School Counselor and DEIB practitioner, working with students from Pre-K through 12th grade in a variety of schools.
At Cate, Nadine provides mental health-oriented counseling and initiatives, supporting students' social, emotional, and academic well-being. She is also an active member of the DEI Community Committee, where she assesses needs, creates community education initiatives, and facilitates affinity space work.
Outside of work, Nadine enjoys biking, swimming, dancing to Caribbean music, and cheering on her two soccer-loving sons.
