Carolyn LaMontagne brings nearly two decades of experience as an independent school librarian and educator to Cate. Before joining Cate, Carolyn served as Head Librarian at Collegiate School in Richmond, VA, where they led initiatives in student agency, inquiry-based learning, and DEIB work, including founding LGBTQ+ affinity groups for faculty and students.

With a diverse professional background in teaching, publishing, and library science, Carolyn also serves as a Board Member and Tech Liaison for the national Association of Independent School Librarians.

Carolyn enjoys writing, reading, listening to deep-dive podcasts, and playing card games. They live in Ventura with their snuggly black cat, Genki.
