Renee Mack has served in a variety of roles during her 20+ years at Cate and currently teaches the 9th Grade Seminar as an instructor in the Human Development Department. She is a certified EMT and Athletic Trainer, becoming Cate’s first Athletic Trainer in 2003. She has also taught in the Science Department and worked at Portsmouth Abbey before arriving on the Mesa.

In the summer of 2002, she received a Woodrow Wilson Fellowship to study molecular genetics at Princeton. She has presented on “The Sport and Neuroscience of Building Great Minds” at TABS in both 2019 and 2021.

As the head coach for girls varsity lacrosse, she has led the Rams to two Southern California championships, coached 13 All-Americans, and secured 11 league titles. She lives on campus with her husband, Pete, their three children – Theo '20, Emmett '23, and Reagan – and their dog, Rizzo.
